Plastic Injection Mold Mechanisms Components

There are many types of injection mold mechanisms, but regardless of the structure of the mold, it mainly consists of the following components:




Ⅰ  Forming parts



Molded parts include fixed mold cavity, dynamic mold cavity and core parts. In the injection molding, these parts directly contact the plastic to form the product, which requires a higher precision and is the core part of the injection mold.


1. Model cavity

The fixed mold cavity, also called the concave mold, mainly forms the external shape of the plastic part.


2. Model cavity

The dynamic model cavity, also known as the punch, mainly shapes the internal shape of the plastic part.


3. Core

The core is generally fixed on the movable mold, the main forming hole and the special shape of concave, convex; plastic parts.



Ⅱ Casting system parts



Casting system parts mainly include positioning rings, sprue bushings and other parts. The main role is to put the injection machine in the barrel

The molten plastic fills the mold cavity and acts as a transfer injection pressure.


Sprue

1. The sprue bushing is the main channel part that needs to pass when the plastic is injected into the mold, and is generally embedded in the fixed mold.


2. Positioning ring

It is a positioning device that determines the mutual position of the nozzle and gate sleeve of the injection machine when the mold is mounted on the injection mold plate.



Ⅲ Demoulding system parts


 

The demoulding mechanism of the injection mold is composed of all the structural parts required for ejecting the plastic parts, such as the top rod, the top rod cushion, the top rod fixing plate and the like. The use of such parts should be easy to take off the plastic parts, does not allow any plastic deformation, cracking and scratching and other phenomena. Its institutions require flexibility, reliability, and replacement and maintenance.


1. Top rod

The ram is a rod that pushes the plastic part out of the mold cavity.


2. Pole fixing plate

The top bar fixing plate functions as a fixed top bar, a top pipe resetting bar and the like.


3 top pad plate

The top spar plate is used to press the top rod, top tube and reset rod parts, and is also the top-out plastic part system that constitutes the mold, and is subjected to the parts of the ejection rod's ejection rod.


4. Reset lever

The reset lever, also called the reverse ejector, is the lever that returns the ejecting system to its home position after the ejector's action is completed.


5. Limit nail

To support and adjust the ejector mechanism and prevent the pusher from resetting, there is foreign matter between the pusher and the movable mold holder, which affects the pusher back to the lowest position, making it difficult to remove the plastic parts.



IV. Cooling and Heating Mechanism


 

The cooling and heating mechanism mainly includes a cold water nozzle, a water pipe channel, a heating plate, and the like. Mainly to adjust the mold temperature to ensure the quality of plastic parts.



V. Structural parts


 

The structural parts of the mold mainly fix the formed parts to form one integral part. Including fixed mold fixed plate, moving mold fixed plate, plate and fixed mold sets, dynamic mold sets.


1.Fixed mold fixing plate

The fixed connection fixed part and the plate installed on the injection machine are also the support plates of the inlaid sprue bushing.


2.Fixed mold set

In order to inlay the die or directly form the plate of the forming cavity, the plate for the inner surface of the plastic part is generally formed.


3. Dynamic mold sets

In order to inlay the model cores or directly form the plates, the plates for the inner surfaces of the plastic parts are generally molded.


4. Pad

A support plate to prevent the punch or other parts from falling back.


5. Support plate

In order to push the board to complete the pushing action to form a certain activity space board.



6. Guide parts


The guide parts mainly include guide posts and guide bushes, which mainly serve as guides for positioning and moving molds.


①.Guide post

It is the part that determines the relative position of the model plate and the moving model plate.


②.Guide bush

In conjunction with the guide column, the guide sleeve should generally be quenched to prevent wear.



7. Core pulling mechanism parts


Core-pulling mechanism parts are mainly used for processing lateral concave-convex and side-hole parts, mainly including slider cores, inclined guide pillars and other parts.



8. Fastening parts


Fastening parts mainly include screws, pins and other standards, its role is to connect and fasten the parts, making it the whole mold.
