Plastic Injection Mold Management and Maintenance Program
Ⅰ.Purpose:
The equipment can maintain the best performance status and extend the service life to ensure the normal production.
Ⅱ.Responsibilities:
2.1 This standard must be implemented by qualified injection molding technicians and mold management personnel.
2.2 The plastic injection foreman is responsible for the implementation and inspection of supervision, and the supervisor is responsible for regular supervision.
Ⅲ. The maintenance content of injection mold is divided into:
3.1 maintenance of the mold before production
3.1.1 The oil on the surface of the mold must be cleaned and the rust must be cleaned. Check whether there is foreign matter in the cooling water hole of the mold. Is there any water route?
3.1.2 It is necessary to check whether the arc in the mold rubber mouth cover is damaged and whether there is residual foreign matter;
3.1.3 whether the screws and clamping clamps of the fixed template of the mold are tightened;
3.1.4 After the mold is loaded on the injection machine, empty mold operation must be performed first. Observe whether the operation of each part is flexible, whether there is abnormal phenomenon, whether the active parts such as the guide pillar, top rod, row position are worn out, whether the lubrication is good, the stroke of the ejector stroke, whether the open stroke is in place, and whether the parting surface is matched when the mold is closed. Strict and so on.
3.2 Maintenance of molds in production
3.2.1 When the mold is used, it must be kept at a normal temperature and it must not be hot or cold. Working at normal temperatures can extend die life.
3.2.2 Check whether all guide pillars, guide sleeves, back needles, push rods, sliders, and cores of the mold are damaged daily. Observe at any time, check regularly, scrub at a proper time, and regularly refuel and maintain them. Take care of the commuter to work twice to ensure that these slides are flexible and prevent tightness.
3.2.3 Before each mold clamping, care should be taken to ensure that the cavity is clean and that no residual product or any other foreign matter remains. Clean tools must not be used to prevent damage to the cavity surface.
3.2.4 mold surface with special requirements of the mold, the surface roughness Ra is less than or equal to 0.2cm, must not be wiped by hand or cotton wire, apply compressed air blowing, or use advanced napkins and high-grade cotton wool on alcohol gently Wipe.
3.2.5 Regularly clean foreign materials such as plastic wire, foreign matter, oil, etc. on the mold parting surface and exhaust groove, and clean the mold surface and runner surface twice a day. Injection molds tend to decompose low-molecular compounds to corrode the mold cavity in the molding process, which makes the surface of the bright cavity gradually become dull and reduce the quality of the product. Therefore, it needs to be scrubbed regularly, and scrubbing can use alcohol or ketone preparations. After the scrub, dry it in time.
3.2.6 Regularly check the water path of the mold and fasten all fastening screws.
3.2.7 Check whether the mold limit switch is abnormal, whether it is an oblique pin or not.
3.3 Maintenance of shutdown mold
3.3.1 When the operation is left to be temporarily stopped, the mold should be closed and the cavity and the core should not be exposed to prevent accidental damage. The downtime is expected to exceed 24 hours. The surface of the cavity and the core should be sprayed with rust-proof. Oil or mold release agent, especially in wet areas and rainy seasons, should be treated with anti-rust treatment for a short time.
The moisture in the air will reduce the surface quality of the cavity and the quality of the surface of the product. When the mold is used again, the oil on the mold should be removed and wiped clean before use. Cleaning the compressed air with mirror surface is required to dry and then dry it with hot air, otherwise it will seep out during the molding and cause defects in the product.
3.3.2 After a temporary shutdown, turn on the machine. After opening the mold, check whether the limit of the slide moves. No abnormality can be found. In short, be careful before turning on the machine. Don't be careless.
3.3.3 In order to prolong the service life of the cooling water channel, when the mold is deactivated, the water in the cooling water channel shall be immediately removed with compressed air, put in a small amount of oil into the nozzle opening, and then blown with compressed air so that all the cooling pipes have one Antirust oil layer.
3.3.4 During work, carefully check the working status of each control component to prevent abnormality in the auxiliary system. Heating and maintenance of the control system are especially important for hot runner molds. At the end of each production cycle, rod heaters, band heaters, thermocouples, and mother-of-pearl measurements should be taken and compared with the technical specifications of the molds to ensure that they function properly. At the same time, the control loop may be tested with an ammeter installed in the loop. The oil in the hydraulic cylinder for core-pulling shall be drained as far as possible, and the oil nozzle shall be sealed so as to prevent the hydraulic oil from leaking or contaminating the surrounding environment during storage and transportation.
3.3.5 During the production, if abnormal noises or other abnormalities are heard from the mould, it shall be stopped immediately. The mold maintenance personnel shall conduct inspection tour of the molds that are in normal operation in the workshop. If abnormalities are found, they shall be promptly disposed of.
3.3.6 During the handover of the operator, in addition to the transfer of production, the process must be closely related to the record, and the use of the mold must be explained in detail.
3.3.7 When the mold completes the production quantity of the product, when the other mold is to be replaced under the machine, the mold cavity should be coated with a rust preventive agent, and the attachment of the mold is sent to the mold maintenance staff, and the final mold is to be produced as a qualified product. Samples are sent to the maintenance staff. In addition, it is also necessary to submit a list of mold usage, fill in the details of the mold on which machine, from a certain date on a certain day, a total of production of a number of products, and now whether the mold is good. If there is a problem with the mold, it is necessary to fill in the mold on the use of the single there is any problem, put forward the specific requirements for modification and improvement, and to submit an unprocessed sample to the custodian, leaving the molder to refer to the mold repair.
3.3.8 After the machine is shut down, check whether the surface of the mold has any residual glued wire. After the foreign matter is cleaned, spray it with a rust inhibitor and fill in the relevant records.
3.4 Quarterly routine inspections:
It is mainly used for cleaning and maintenance of molds that have not been used for more than two months.
3.4.1 Open the mold, check the internal rust prevention effect, and if any abnormality occurs, re-treat the rust. The molds that are not used for a long time must be coated with butter.
3.4.2 Put it back and make a record.
3.5 Mold storage
A mold library should be set up with special personnel management, and a mold file should be established. Computer management of the molds should be implemented if possible. The mold library should be selected where there is little ventilation and the humidity should be kept below 70%. If the humidity exceeds 70%, the mold will easily rust. The mold should be put on the shelf for storage, and be protected against corrosion and dust.
